Compact Solid State
Recorder with Dual Recording
DR-2d Portable Digital Recorder brings high-resolution
recording to a compact, affordable package. It offers up to 96kHz/24-bit
WAV or MP3 recording to SD cards, and recordings can be transferred to
computer through high-speed USB 2.0. A new dual recording feature
records a copy of your audio at a lower level, so if the level suddenly
jumps you have a backup instead of a distorted performance. More about
Record using the new built-in condenser microphones or plug in your own.
The mic input even has switchable plug-in power, and there's also a line
input available for other sources. You can slow down recordings without
changing the pitch, and there's even a metronome and built-in speaker.
The DR-2d provides hours of recording time using a pair of AA batteries.
making it the perfect partner for song-writing, live performance,
rehearsal or home studio recording.
The recorder includes auto gain control and a
limiter for easy setup and a switchable low-frequency filter to
eliminate handling or wind noise. One out of six reverb effects can be
applied to the playback signal or to the input signal during recording.
Recordings can also be added to existing audio files (overdub feature).
And a host of playback features is supplied, including pitch and key
control, a cancelling function and a metronome.
The DR-2d is powered by two
easily-available AA batteries or an optional Tascam AC adapter (PS-P520)
and comes with a 2-Gigabyte SD card for hours of recording time.
The most remarkable feature of the DR-2d,
however, is its ability to create two recordings at the same time.
Create two files with different microphone levels, or record from the
mic and line inputs at the same time. By mixing the two files on a
computer later, you can add live atmosphere to a recording derived from
a FOH mixer, for instance. It is also possible to record a mix from the
mics and the line input to a single file directly.
